An exceptionally healthy variety, resistant to clematis wilt. A fast‑growing plant reaching up to 3 meters. It blooms for a very long time.
Application: Clematis climbs very well over pergolas, fences, walls, gazebos, trellises, as well as natural supports such as coniferous and deciduous trees and shrubs.
Flowering: From June to September. The flowers are wine‑red with darker stripes and lighter tones on the outer side. Flowers are about 10 cm wide.
Care: Plant the clematis 10 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs and before winter cover it with bark up to 10–20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus‑rich, calcium‑rich (pH 6–7) and well‑aerated soils. Fertilize from April and water intensively during the growing season. It tolerates almost any position and grows even in difficult conditions. Prefers sunny or semi‑shaded locations.
Pruning: Should be cut back hard from February to March.
