A beautiful and very popular variety worldwide, hardy and medium‑sized (2–3 m), with large dark‑red flowers and yellow stamens. The plant looks stunning both in the garden and in containers on balconies or terraces. It is frost‑hardy and low‑maintenance, making it ideal for cultivation in Polish climatic conditions. Use: Perfect for climbing over pergolas, fences, walls, gazebos, trellises and natural supports such as conifers, deciduous trees, shrubs and small bushes. It also grows beautifully in large containers on balconies, terraces and in small gardens. Flowering: June to August. Exposure: Any. Care: Plant the clematis 5 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs or perennials, and before winter cover it with bark up to 10–20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus‑rich, well‑aerated soil with a calcium‑rich, neutral to slightly alkaline pH (6–7). Fertilise from April and water generously during the growing season. Pruning: It flowers in spring on last year’s shoots. At the turn of February and March, remove dead and diseased stems, and prune healthy ones lightly: in the first year cut to 30 cm above ground level, in the second year to 70 cm, and in subsequent years to 150 cm.
