A very vigorous and hardy variety. The flowers are violet-purple with beige anthers. It blooms abundantly from June to September, with flowers forming at 1.5–3 m. Suitable for planting on tall supports, fences, arbours and pergolas, especially in the background against a light backdrop. It prefers a warm, sunny or semi-shaded position sheltered from strong, cold winds. Soil should be fertile, humus-rich, moist, with pH 6.0–7.0.
