A hardy, vigorous (3–4 m) and very profusely flowering variety with carmine‑pink flowers and golden stamens. The plant looks beautiful both in the garden and in containers on balconies or terraces. It is frost hardy and low‑maintenance, making it ideal for cultivation in Polish climate conditions.
Uses: Climbs beautifully over pergolas, fences, walls, gazebos, trellises, and natural supports such as coniferous and deciduous trees, shrubs, and subshrubs. Grows very well in large containers on balconies, terraces, and in small gardens.
Flowering: June to the end of September.
Exposure: East, west, north.
Care: Plant 5 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs or perennials, and before winter mound bark around the base to a height of 10–20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus‑rich, airy soils rich in calcium (pH 6–7). Fertilize from April and water generously during the growing season.
Pruning: This variety flowers on new wood, so prune hard in late February–March. In the first year cut to 30 cm above ground, in the second year to 40 cm, and in subsequent years to 50 cm.
