An Estonian variety with exceptionally dark violet, velvety flowers on long stalks and yellow‑green stamens. Blooms abundantly from late June to August. Best planted against a light background. Prefers sunny, warm, wind‑sheltered locations. Ideal for pergolas, trellises, and fences. Soil should be fertile, humus‑rich, well‑drained, and moist, pH 6.0–7.0.
A very attractive, frost‑hardy variety with exceptionally dark violet‑navy, velvety flowers carried on long stalks. It blooms profusely from late June to August. Best planted against a light background. Perfect for cultivation throughout Poland. The plant looks beautiful both in the garden and in containers on balconies or terraces.
Uses: Climbs beautifully over pergolas, fences, walls, gazebos, trellises, and natural supports such as coniferous and deciduous trees, shrubs, and subshrubs. Grows very well in large containers on balconies, terraces, and in small gardens. Excellent as a groundcover or screening plant.
Flowering: June–September.
Exposure: South, east, west.
Pruning: This variety flowers on new wood, so prune hard in late February–March. In the first year cut to 30 cm above ground, in the second year to 40 cm, and in subsequent years to 50 cm.
