Charming, very vigorous (up to 4 m), hardy and undemanding botanical variety with green leaves that last until November. In summer and autumn, it's covered with masses of small white flowers with bright yellow stamens, and in autumn, it forms decorative, fluffy seed heads. Looks beautiful both in gardens and in containers on balconies or terraces. Successfully cultivated throughout Poland.
Use: Excellent for climbing over pergolas, fences, walls, arbors, trellises, and natural supports like coniferous and deciduous trees, shrubs, and subshrubs. Also perfect as a ground cover or screening plant.
Flowering: July to October.
Position: South, east, west.
Care: Plant 10 cm deeper than it was in the pot and at least 30 cm from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the base with bark. Shade the base with small shrubs and cover with bark up to 10–20 cm high before winter. Grows best in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich (pH 6–7), well-aerated soil. Fertilize from April and water generously during the growing season.
Pruning: Blooms on current year's growth, so prune hard in late February to early March. First year: cut 30 cm from the ground above strong buds, second year 40 cm, and 50 cm in the following years.
