A very early and profusely flowering botanical variety with beautiful semi-double, pink-purple flowers. In autumn, it produces decorative seed heads. Looks great in the garden as well as in containers on balconies or terraces. Frost-resistant and low-maintenance. Perfectly suited to Polish climatic conditions.
Use: Climbs beautifully on pergolas, fences, walls, arbors, trellises, and natural supports like coniferous and deciduous trees, shrubs, and subshrubs. Also excellent as a ground cover.
Flowering: From April to the end of May.
Position: Any.
Care: Plant 10 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs; before winter, cover with bark to a height of 10–20 cm. Best grown in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich (pH 6–7), well-aerated soil. Fertilize from April and water regularly during the growing season.
Pruning: Not pruned at all, as it flowers on old wood. If shaping is needed, prune only after flowering, no lower than 1 m above the ground.
