A uniquely beautiful herbaceous variety with stiff, non-climbing stems (1–1.5 m). Pleasantly fragrant, small (2 cm) deep blue flowers with frilled, curled edges attract insects and butterflies. Blooms from July to September, adding color in late summer. Prefers sunny, wind-sheltered spots and grows well in humus-rich, neutral soil.
Use: Especially suitable for perennial borders or planting among shrubs. Can also be used as ground cover.
Flowering: From July to September.
Position: Prefers sunny or semi-shaded spots and tolerates average soils with a neutral pH.
Care: Plant in a 30 x 30 x 30 cm hole filled with fertile soil and a drainage layer at the bottom. Place 0.5–1 cm deeper than it was growing in the pot. Easy to grow. In early spring, cut dead shoots at ground level and live ones to 5–10 cm. In mid-April, fertilize with a slow-release fertilizer (e.g., Osmocote 5–6M). Water during the growing season.
Pruning: As a herbaceous plant, old stems usually die off — prune to the ground in March.
