A very attractive and unique Polish variety, low-maintenance and hardy, with stunning large, wavy purple flowers. In autumn, flowers show a dark purple stripe. Blooms twice a year!!!
Use: Perfect for climbing over pergolas, fences, walls, arbors, trellises, and natural supports like coniferous or deciduous trees, shrubs, and subshrubs.
Flowering: June, July, and again in September.
Position: Any.
Care: Plant 5 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low-growing plants; before winter, cover the base with bark to a height of 10–20 cm. Grows best in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich (pH 6–7), well-aerated soils. Fertilize from April and water abundantly during the growing season.
Pruning: Flowers on last year's shoots, so in late February to March remove dead and diseased stems and prune healthy ones lightly: in the first year, 30 cm above ground, second year 70 cm, and in later years 150 cm.
