Healthy, very frost-resistant, and profusely flowering Polish variety. Attractive light blue flowers with a violet hue and creamy stamens. Beautiful in gardens near arbors, fences, pergolas, trellises, or in containers on balconies and terraces. Prefers sunny, warm spots, but tolerates partial shade. Should be protected from cold winds. Soil: fertile, humus-rich, well-drained, moist, pH 6.0–7.0.
Use: Can be planted near small trees or shrubs, arbors, and other supports. Can also be used as ground cover.
Flowering: June to September.
Position: Requires a sunny location, but tolerates average soil.
Care: Plant clematis 5–10 cm deeper than it was growing in the pot and at least 30 cm from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs, and before winter, cover with bark to a height of 10–20 cm. Grows best in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich (pH 6–7), well-aerated soil. Fertilize from April, and water generously during the growing season.
Pruning: Blooms on new shoots, so prune hard at the turn of February–March. First year: 30 cm above ground, second year: 40 cm, following years: 50 cm.
