A wonderful, strong, healthy, and moderately vigorous (2–3 m) botanical variety with unique red-scarlet tulip-shaped flowers. In autumn and winter, it's covered with decorative seed heads. Without supports, it sprawls attractively along the ground. Hardy and low-maintenance, grows well across Poland. Prefers sunny, warm, and wind-sheltered spots. Soil should be fertile, humus-rich, well-drained, and moist, pH 6.0–7.0.
A wonderful, strong, healthy, and moderately vigorous (2–3 m) botanical variety with original red-scarlet, tulip-shaped flowers. In autumn and winter, it is covered with decorative seed heads that beautifully adorn the garden. Successfully cultivated throughout Poland, frost-resistant and low-maintenance.
Use: Climbs beautifully on pergolas, fences, walls, arbors, trellises, and natural supports like coniferous and deciduous trees, shrubs, and subshrubs.
Flowering: From early July to the end of August.
Position: Any.
Care: Plant 5 cm deeper than it was growing in the pot and at least 30 cm from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the seedling with bark. Shade the base with low-growing plants, and before winter, cover with bark up to 10–20 cm high. Grows best in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich (pH 6–7), well-aerated soils. Fertilize from April and water generously during the growing season.
Pruning: As a herbaceous perennial, previous year's stems usually die back and should be cut to the ground in March.
