An old and trusted, beautiful large-flowered variety. Hardy and very floriferous in summer, suitable for partial shade and sunny, wind-sheltered locations. Originates from the UK. Grows 2–3 m tall. Perfect for arbors, pergolas, and fences. Dislikes heavy clay or overly light soils. Prefers fertile, humus-rich, well-drained, and moist soil (pH 6.0–7.0).
An old and proven, beautiful large-flowered variety. Hardy and very profusely blooming in summer, suitable for partial shade. Originating from the UK. Grows up to 2–3 m. Resistant throughout the entire climate zone in Poland.
Use: Ideal for growing along fences, arbors, trellises, stakes, and other garden supports. Can climb natural supports like deciduous or coniferous shrubs and subshrubs.
Flowering: Light pink flowers with brown stamens; the color fades in strong sunlight. Flowers are 10–15 cm in diameter. Blooms from July to September.
Position: Sunny or semi-shaded location.
Care: Plant 5 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the seedling with bark. Shade the base with low plants and cover with bark up to 10–20 cm before winter. Grows best in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich (pH 6–7), and well-aerated soils. Fertilize from April and water generously during the growing season.
Pruning: Requires hard pruning. Cut back to 30–50 cm above ground between February and April.
