Wonderful, healthy, and low-maintenance. Easy to grow and moderately vigorous (2–2.5 m), this botanical variety features original bell-shaped, hanging light blue flowers with yellow stamens. Ideal for cultivation throughout Poland. The plant looks beautiful both in gardens and in containers on balconies or terraces.
Use: Climbs beautifully on pergolas, fences, walls, arbors, trellises, and natural supports such as coniferous and deciduous trees, shrubs, and subshrubs. Grows well in large containers on balconies, terraces, and in small gardens. Excellent as ground cover.
Flowering: From early June to September.
Position: South, East, West.
Care: Plant 5 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the seedling with bark. Shade the base with low-growing plants, and before winter, cover with bark up to 10–20 cm. Best grown in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich (pH 6–7), well-aerated soils. Fertilize from April and water generously during the growing season.
Pruning: Flowers on current year’s shoots – prune hard at the turn of February and March. In the first year, cut 30 cm above the ground over strong buds, in the second year – 40 cm, and in following years – 50 cm.
