One of the oldest large-flowered varieties. Beautiful silky flowers filled with stamens with coffee-colored anthers on white filaments. Very frost-resistant and low-maintenance, successfully grown throughout Poland.
Use: Perfect for growing along fences, arbors, trellises, poles, and other supports. It can also climb natural supports like deciduous or coniferous shrubs and subshrubs.
Flowering: June–August.
Care: Plant clematis 5–10 cm deeper than it was growing in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low-growing plants, and before winter cover with bark up to 10–20 cm high. Grows best in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich soils.
Pruning: Flowers on the current year's shoots, so prune hard at the turn of February and March. In the first year – 30 cm from the ground above strong buds, in the second year – 40 cm, and in subsequent years – 50 cm from the ground.
