Magnificent and extremely showy Polish variety, frost-resistant and low-maintenance, fairly vigorous (2–3 m), with exceptionally large purple flowers and purple stamens. Blooms profusely twice a year!!!

Use: Climbs beautifully on pergolas, fences, walls, arbors, trellises, and natural supports such as coniferous and deciduous trees, shrubs, and subshrubs.

Flowering: From May to July and again in September.

Position: Any.

Care: Plant clematis 5 cm deeper than it was growing in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the seedling with bark. Shade the base with low-growing plants, and before winter, cover with bark up to 10–20 cm high. Grows best in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich (pH 6–7), and well-aerated soils. Fertilize from April and water generously during the growing season.

Pruning: Spring flowering occurs on last year’s shoots, so in February–March, remove dead and diseased stems and prune healthy ones lightly: in the first year after planting – 30 cm above the ground, in the second year – 70 cm, and in subsequent years – 150 cm.
