This variety is extremely healthy and resistant to the common clematis wilt. It is a fast-growing plant that blooms very abundantly and can reach up to 3 meters in height. It blooms for a very long time. The flower reaches a size of 8–10 cm. This clematis looks beautiful on gazebos, pergolas, and fences. It prefers warm, sunny locations, as well as partial shade and areas sheltered from strong, cold winds. The soil should be fertile, well‑draining, moderately moist, and rich in humus, with a pH of 6.0–7.0.
This is an exceptionally healthy variety, resistant to the common disease of clematis. It is a fast-growing plant that can reach up to 3 meters in height. It blooms for a very long time.
Application: Clematis climbs very well on pergolas, fences, walls, gazebos, trellises as well as on natural supports such as coniferous and deciduous trees and shrubs.
Blooming: It blooms from June to September. The flowers are the color of red wine with dark stripes, with lighter tones on the outside. The flowers are about 10 cm wide.
Care: Plant the clematis 10 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Provide some shade for the base by, for example, planting low‑growing shrubs, and before winter cover the base with bark up to a height of 10–20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus‑rich, well‑draining soils that are rich in calcium (pH 6–7) and airy. Begin fertilizing in April and water intensively during the growing season. It prefers all orientations and grows even under difficult conditions. It likes sunny and partially shaded locations.
Pruning: It should be pruned heavily from February to March.
