This is a beautiful variety originating from Estonia. It is distinguished by dark violet, almost black flowers with a diameter of about 12 cm.

It blooms vigorously in July. It looks superb against a yellow or light background. It reaches a height of 2–2.5 m regardless of exposure.

It requires heavy pruning. It looks extremely interesting on natural supports such as deciduous and coniferous shrubs, but like other clematis varieties, it can be used in various pergolas, nets, gazebos, and other garden supports.

It prefers a warm, sunny or partially shaded location that is sheltered from strong and cold winds.

The soil should be fertile, rich in humus, moderately moist, and well‑draining.
