A variety of early-blooming clematis. The target height is about 2-2.5m. The clematis is hardy throughout our climate zone.
Application: This variety climbs using tendrils and needs climbing support such as fences, wires, ropes, etc. It is perfect for pergolas, wooden frames, or old trees, with the support diameter not exceeding 3 cm.
Blooming: It blooms from May to October. The flowers are white, large, with a delicate purple edge.
Exposure: Any, but it does not like being in full sun all day.
Care: Plant the clematis 5 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base, for example with low shrubs, and before winter, cover it with bark to a height of 10-20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich (pH 6-7), and well-drained soils. Fertilize from April, and water intensively during the growing season.
Pruning: It blooms in spring on last year's growth, so in late February or early March, cut dead and diseased stems, and prune healthy, living stems lightly: in the first year after planting, cut 30 cm above the ground above strong buds, in the second year 70 cm, and in the following years 100-150 cm above the ground.
