Use: Suitable for cultivation on trellises, arbors, pergolas, and garden arches. It can climb natural supports, shrubs, and small trees. It can also serve as a ground-covering plant.
Flowering: June-September.
Exposure: South, East, West.
Care: Plant the clematis 5 cm / 10 cm deeper than it was in the pot, and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the seedling with bark. Shade the base with small shrubs and, before winter, cover with bark up to a height of 10-20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus-rich soils, rich in calcium (pH 6-7), and well-drained. Fertilize from April and water intensively during the growing season.
Pruning: This variety blooms on this year's shoots, so it should be pruned heavily in late February or early March. In the first year after planting, cut 30 cm from the ground above strong buds, in the second year 40 cm, and in subsequent years 50 cm from the ground.
