A fast-growing (3-4m), very interesting variety with beautiful, very large, dark blue flowers with cream-yellow stamens. The plant looks beautiful both in the garden and in pots on balconies or terraces, it is frost-resistant and low-maintenance.
Use: It climbs beautifully on pergolas, fences, walls, gazebos, trellises, and natural supports like coniferous trees, deciduous trees, shrubs, and small bushes. It looks great in containers on balconies and terraces.
Flowering: May, June, and again in September.
Exposure: Any.
Care: Plant the clematis 5 cm deeper than it was in the pot, at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the seedling with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs, and before winter, cover it with bark up to 10-20 cm in height. It grows best in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich (pH 6-7), and well-drained soils. Fertilize from April and water intensively during the growing season.
Pruning: This variety blooms on this year's shoots, so prune it strongly in late February or early March. In the first year after planting, cut 30 cm above the ground above strong buds, in the second year 40 cm, and in subsequent years 50 cm above the ground.
