An exceptionally beautiful perennial variety with stiff stems (1-1.5 m) that does not cling to supports. The pleasantly scented small flowers, 2 cm in diameter, will attract insects and butterflies. These flowers have an intense blue color with fancifully curled and frilled edges and appear from July to September, thus brightening up the garden in late summer. This clematis prefers a sunny spot, sheltered from strong and cold winds. It grows well in humus-rich soil with a neutral pH.
Usage: Particularly useful for planting in perennial borders or between shrubs. It can also be used as a ground cover plant.
Flowering: From July to September.
Exposure: Prefers sunny or semi-shady spots and thrives in average soils with a neutral pH.
Care: Plant the specimen in a hole (30 x 30 x 30 cm) with fertile soil and a few centimeters of drainage at the bottom, 0.5˗1 cm deeper than it was in the pot. It is easy to grow. In early spring, cut dead stems just above the ground, and live ones to a height of 5˗10 cm. In mid-April, feed with a slow-release fertilizer (e.g., Osmocote 5-6M). Water during the growing season.
Pruning: It is a perennial, and last year's stems usually die, so they should be cut off above the ground in March.
