Uses: It climbs beautifully on pergolas, fences, walls, gazebos, trellises, and natural supports such as trees, shrubs, and small bushes. It grows wonderfully in large pots on balconies, terraces, and in small gardens.
Flowering: from early July to October.
Exposure: south, west, east
Care: Plant the clematis 5 cm deeper than it was in the pot and at least 30 cm from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the seedling with bark. Shade the base, for example with low shrubs, and before winter, cover it with bark up to a height of 10-20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich (pH 6-7), and well-drained soils. Fertilize from April, and water intensively during the growing season.
Pruning: A variety that blooms on this year's shoots, so cut it back heavily in late February to early March. In the first year after planting, cut 30 cm from the ground above strong buds, in the second year 40 cm, and in the following years 50 cm from the ground.
