Variety of early flowering clematis. The target height is around 2-2.5m. The clematis is resistant in all of our climate zones.
Application: The variety climbs using tendrils and needs climbing support such as fences, wires, ropes, etc. It is perfect for pergolas, wooden frames, or old trees, provided that the support diameter does not exceed 3 cm.
Flowering: Blooms from May to October. The flowers are white, large, with a delicate violet hue at the edges.
Exposure: Any, but it does not like being in direct sun all day.
Care: Plant the clematis 5 cm deeper than it grew in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the plant with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs, and before winter, pile bark to a height of 10-20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus-rich soils, rich in calcium (pH 6-7), and well-drained. Fertilize from April, and water intensively during the growing season.
Pruning: It blooms on last year's shoots, so in late February or early March, cut dead and diseased shoots, and trim healthy ones lightly. In the first year after planting, cut 30 cm above the ground above strong buds, in the second year 70 cm, and in subsequent years 100-150 cm above the ground.
