Exceptional variety of clematis. It is distinguished by its ornamental, evergreen leaves and exceptionally early flowering period. The first flowers appear at the end of March, and it looks its best in April and May. Due to its early blooming period, it is recommended for pots and containers.
Care and requirements: Prefers sunny spots (shaded at the roots). It is a moderately demanding plant, growing best in humus-rich, fertile, well-drained, and not too moist soils. Regular fertilization is recommended from April. The variety is somewhat frost-resistant, making it ideal for container cultivation indoors.
Flowering: A very prolific flowering variety. It blooms from March to May with beautiful white flowers with a light green center. The flowers are fragrant. An additional advantage is its ornamental, evergreen leaves.
Planting: When planting, make sure the lower part of the vine is shaded, for example, by taller shrubs. It is recommended to cover the cutting with bark, which protects against weed growth and soil drying out.
Pruning: Light pruning is recommended in late autumn or early spring. It involves removing damaged or dead stems. The rest should be shortened by about 20 cm.
Uses: It reaches a height of about 2.5-3 meters. Like all clematis, it climbs well, so it should be planted near trellises or supports. It can be grown in a pot or container, perfect for keeping indoors or in greenhouses.
