A Japanese variety of Clematis. It is characterized by slow growth, large, double flowers that reach 12-15 cm, and great frost resistance. The flowers have elliptical, sharply pointed petals that are slightly wavy with tips facing downward, and the buds are light green with pink shading at the tips. As the flowers open, they turn white.

It is ideal for cultivation on low supports as well as for growing on terraces and balconies. It prefers a warm, bright location, sheltered from the wind.
It requires gentle pruning in early spring. In the first year after planting, cut to about 30 cm from the ground, in the second year to 70 cm. In the following years, prune to a height of 100-120 cm.
