It prefers sunny and semi-shady spots, sheltered from strong and cold winds. The soil should be fertile, well-drained, and moderately moist.
A very early and abundant flowering botanical variety with small semi-double, dark purple flowers. In autumn, it is covered with ornamental, fluffy inflorescences. The plant is highly frost-resistant and low-maintenance. Perfect for cultivation in Polish climatic conditions.
Use: It climbs wonderfully on pergolas, fences, walls, gazebos, trellises, and natural supports such as coniferous and deciduous trees, shrubs, and small bushes. It looks great as a ground cover plant.
Flowering: Very early, from April to the end of May and again in August.
Exposure: Any.
Care: Plant the clematis 5 cm deeper than it was in the pot and at least 30 cm away from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the seedling with bark. Shade the base, for example, with low shrubs, and before winter, mulch with bark to a height of 10-20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich (pH 6-7), and well-drained soils. Fertilize from April, and water intensively during the growing season.
Pruning: Do not prune at all, as the variety flowers on old, last year's shoots. If necessary to limit spreading, prune only after flowering, no lower than 1 m from the ground.
