Application: It climbs beautifully on pergolas, fences, walls, arbours, trellises, and natural supports such as coniferous trees, deciduous trees, shrubs, and small bushes. It grows wonderfully in large pots on balconies, terraces, and small gardens.
Flowering: From June to the end of September.
Exposure: Any.
Care: Plant the clematis 5 cm deeper than it was in the pot and at least 30 cm from other plants or walls. Mulch the soil around the seedling with bark. Shade the base with low shrubs, and before winter, cover with bark up to a height of 10-20 cm. It grows best in fertile, humus-rich, calcium-rich (pH 6-7), and well-drained soils. Fertilize from April and water intensively during the growing season.
Pruning: A variety that blooms on this year’s shoots, so prune heavily in late February to March. In the first year after planting, cut 30 cm above the ground over strong buds; in the second year, cut 40 cm; and in subsequent years, 50 cm above the ground.
