An exceptionally beautiful perennial variety with rigid stems (1-1.5 m) that do not cling to supports. The pleasantly scented small flowers, with a diameter of 2 cm, will attract insects and butterflies. These flowers have an intense blue color with fantastically curled and frilled edges, blooming from July to September, thus enlivening the garden in late summer. This clematis prefers a sunny spot, sheltered from strong, cold winds. It thrives in humus-rich, neutral pH soil.
Use: Particularly useful for perennial flower beds or between shrubs. Can be used as a groundcover plant.
Blooming: From July to September.
Exposure: Prefers sunny or semi-shady places, tolerates average soils with a neutral pH.
Care: The plant should be planted in a hole (30 x 30 x 30 cm) with fertile soil and a few centimeters of drainage at the bottom, 0.5-1 cm deeper than it was in the pot. It is easy to grow. In early spring, dead shoots should be cut just above the ground, and live shoots should be cut back to 5-10 cm. In mid-April, fertilize with a slow-release fertilizer (e.g., Osmocote 5-6M). Water during the growing season.
Pruning: It is a perennial, and last year's shoots usually die, so they should be cut back to the ground in March.
