Chinese silvergrass is an ornamental plant. It forms compact, impressive clumps that can reach up to 250 cm in height. It has dark green leaves with a white stripe in the centre. The flowering period lasts from September to November. This miscanthus produces tall, white inflorescences. Over time, their colour turns silvery. The leaves become red‑orange. Miscanthus ‘Memory’ prefers sunny locations, although slight shade is acceptable. The plant requires fertile, moist and well‑drained soil. It overwinters in the ground, but during severe frosts it is recommended to protect the plants. The grass should be cut back in early spring. Miscanthus can be grown in groups or individually. It is perfect for home gardens, parks, flowerbeds and for planting around ponds or water features.
