This variety is characterized by the intensity of its flower colors, making it one of the most beautiful grasses. The flower heads have beautiful, dense red flowers, which turn beige to orange-yellow in the fall. The clumps reach a height of about 70–90 cm, and when the flower heads appear, their height increases up to 160 cm. The leaves of this variety are long and green with a white stripe in the middle.

The ornamental grass grows best in moist, fertile soil. It prefers a sunny and warm position, but it also tolerates slightly shaded spots. This variety is frost-resistant, but it is a good idea to cover young plants in winter with, for example, sawdust, bark, or dry leaves.

In spring, you should cut the dry leaves, taking care not to damage the emerging young shoots.
