This miscanthus is one of the earliest blooming varieties, growing up to 1 meter in height and 1 meter in width. When the plant starts blooming, the seedling can reach up to 2 meters in height. A characteristic feature of this variety is its arching, tapering leaves. A silver vein runs through the center of the green leaf. In the second half of the summer, panicle-like flower heads appear. Their hue is a delicate purplish-beige. After blooming, the flower heads become silvery, shimmering, and very fluffy. At the end of summer, the grass turns a delicate orange shade, then shifts to a reddish hue, and finally becomes straw-colored, signaling that the plant is slowly drying out.

The grass requires fertile soil with a slightly acidic or neutral pH. The position should be moderately moist, sunny, and warm. Miscanthus is frost-resistant, but young seedlings should be covered in winter, for example with sawdust, bark, or dry leaves.
