Its greatest attraction is the large, fully double pink flowers that appear in April and May, creating the effect of a “pink cloud.” The leaves are copper-colored in spring, green in summer, and turn orange-yellow in autumn. Fruits may appear occasionally, but most often the tree does not fruit at all. They are considered inedible.
