The serrated cherry ‘Kanzan’ is one of the most popular ornamental cherry varieties, valued for its spectacular, fully double flowers and elegant form. It is an ideal tree for home gardens, parks, and representative plantings. ‘Kanzan’ typically grows 6–10 meters tall, forming a wide, upright crown. Its greatest attraction is the large, fully double pink flowers that appear in April and May, creating the effect of a “pink cloud.” The leaves are copper-colored in spring, green in summer, and turn orange-yellow in autumn. Fruits may appear occasionally, but most often the tree does not fruit at all. They are considered inedible.
Grafted plant.
