Cockscomb celosia, also known as crested celosia, is an annual plant. Its flowers resemble a rooster’s comb, making them highly striking and original. The stems are weakly branched, and the leaves are intensely green, large, and broadly oval or elliptical. This variety appears in a wide range of colours such as salmon, orange, dark red, pink and yellow. The plant is not demanding regarding soil — it only needs fertile, well‑drained ground and a warm, sunny position. It does not tolerate drought or prolonged rainfall. Celosia looks beautiful both in flower beds and in containers on terraces or balconies. It brightens and enhances any place where proper conditions are provided.
