Buddleja davidii 'Black Knight'

Buddleja is a magnificent ornamental shrub, valued for its long and fragrant flower panicles, which from July to September decorate the garden with an intense, deep purple colour. The flowers are gathered in panicles up to 40 cm long and, with their scent, attract numerous bees and butterflies, giving the space a unique charm. Flowering occurs on young shoots, which guarantees an abundance of flowers every year.

Position: sunny, warm, sheltered from wind

Soil: fertile, humus-rich, moderately moist; tolerates various pH levels

Watering: abundant during hot weather

Care: requires winter protection at the base; low pruning of shoots recommended in spring
