Very strong climber with twining stems. It grows up to 12 m, with an annual growth of 2–4 m. The striking yellowish-red fruits (found only on female plants) are ornamental for several months (October–December). Attractive green leaves turn an intense yellow in autumn. The female variety bears abundant fruit. The flowers are small and white. The male variety serves as a pollinator for the female plants. It is especially useful for covering buildings and fences, and is also suitable for planting near gazebos, pergolas, and various supports.

Care: The plant is not demanding in terms of soil and light. It can be grown in the shade or partial shade. It has no special soil requirements and does not require special care.
