A beautiful shrub with a regular, spherical habit, reaching 1–2 meters in height. It has stiff, red or reddish-brown shoots. The leaves are small (1–3 cm long), purple-red with a thin yellow margin. In autumn, they turn intense orange-red. From late May to early June, small, nectar-rich, bicolored flowers (5–10 mm in diameter) appear. They are dark yellow inside and slightly red-tinted on the outside. Besides their unique appearance, they also attract attention with a distinctive sweet scent. Bright red, glossy fruits (approx. 1 cm) ripen in September and remain on the shrub for a long time. Sometimes they are eaten by birds. This variety prefers sunny locations and grows best in light, well-drained, moderately moist soils with a slightly acidic to slightly alkaline pH. It is a durable and pollution-tolerant plant, successfully used in urban greenery. Perfect for colorful flowerbed compositions. Also recommended for hedges and multi-colored rows.
