A clematis with beautiful bicolour flowers in violet and white. The violet veining contrasts wonderfully with the white petal background. 'Venosa Violacea' produces large, very ornamental and decorative flowers. This clematis prefers a warm, sunny location, sheltered from strong and cold winds.
The soil should be fertile, well-drained and moist. It also tolerates poorer soils with fewer nutrients.
It looks beautiful on pergolas, arbours and fences. Also suitable for balconies and terraces.
